Post-Graduate
Scholarships

Designed to bridge the gap between professional training and a professional career, this post-graduate scholarship stream is open to dancers who have graduated from high school and are actively pursuing a professional dance career, but have not yet secured a fully paid company contract.

​

Eligibility:

  • already graduated or currently finishing Grade 12 this June

  • accepted to a classical ballet post graduate training program, trainee program, or apprenticeship (but must not include a paid professional contract)

  • was a previous full-time resident of the Sunshine Coast, B.C.

Agreement to Terms and Conditions:

I, the undersigned participant, or parent/legal guardian if the participant is under the age of majority, authorize the Waldorf Ballet Foundation to contact the programs and schools listed in this application for the purpose of considering this scholarship application. I understand that funds awarded will be paid directly to the program of acceptance, and that all scholarships are conditional to the registration and attendance of an eligible ballet training program. The Waldorf Ballet Foundation reserves the right to withdraw and/or reallocate funds if the recipient does not register and attend an approved program.


I acknowledge that the evaluation and decisions for these scholarships are confidential and amounts awarded may vary based on number of applications each season. All decisions are final and will be made solely by an impartial adjudicator.


Scholarship recipients are expected to give back to the Waldorf Ballet Foundation community by performing at Foundation events when invited, sharing their participation in their program of study through social media with appropriate acknowledgment and tagging of the Foundation, and engaging in other meaningful expressions of gratitude to recognize the support of donors and the community.
